NMB Bank Celebrates Excellence and Strengthens Partnership with the University of Dar es Salaam

NMB Bank PLC in collaboration with the University of Dar es Salaam’s College of Business Studies have celebrated top graduating students with a distinguished award ceremony, honoring their academic achievements and bright futures.

The event went hand in hand with the awards and prize handover where the Bank’s representatives praised the graduates and reaffirmed their commitment to fostering talent and professional development.

On behalf of the Bank, the events Guest of Honor and NMB Bank’s Head of Human Resources Center of Expertise, Joanitha Mrengo expressed the Bank’s pride in supporting the youth. It’s a great plesure as they recognize the dedication and hard work of these young professionals.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Research, on Behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Nelson Boniface, also emphasized the importance of the partnership, saying, “Our collaboration with NMB Bank enhances the quality of education we offer and contributes significantly to national development.

Together, we are shaping future leaders who will drive Tanzania’s progress.”

The Deputy Vice Chancellor also highlighted that the University of Dar es Salaam, would be inviting the various professionals including those from NMB to deliver guest lectures, providing students with practical insights into their fields.

This initiative aims to complement academic learning with real-world knowledge, giving students a broader perspective beyond the classroom, and preparing them better for the challenges ahead.

The University’s dean of Students, Professor Omary Mbura, highlighted NMB’s multifaceted role as a vital partner. “NMB Bank has not only supported us financially but has also been actively involved in our academic and community initiatives,” he said.

“Many of our staff members are loyal customers of NMB Bank, which reflects the strength of our enduring relationship.”
